PRE-PRIMARY SCHOOL

Overview

Our Vision

Our Vision is to become a leading pre-primary and primary school, a quality reference for its innovative teaching and learning – a centre of excellence for education

Our Mission

Our Mission is to create a successful and carefully resourced environment that encourage children to develop a lively enquiring mind and disciplined life, become confident learners and problem solvers in this cutting-edge world.

Our Values

  • believe firmly in the potential of your children – our students
  • committed in exploring their worth in your company
  • promote the sense of belonging
  • embrace a high standard of academic achievements
  • enhance team spirit by encouraging participation in community service as part and parcel of school life
  • value tolerance in a multi-cultural society by acclimatizing learners to fundamental issues like peace, justice and freedom – vital qualities of universality
  • take care of all-round development of every learner:
    • physical
    • intellectual
    • social
    • emotional

Another aim of the pre-primary school is to help the child develop his full potential intellectually, socially, morally and emotionally. We want children to feel at ease with themselves and we believe that self-esteem, through nurturing the individual’s needs, is the foundation for your child’s future learning development and social emotional well-being.

At the pre-primary school level, more than at any other age, we can follow the principle of “learning by doing”, for in their play, and young children simulate or relive life situations through dramatic play, manipulations of material and rhythm.

Young children learn most fully through direct sensory experiences – touching, hearing, tasting manipulating, seeing. The child who has had these opportunities to explore and to have his questions answered, is later ready for more formal learning.

Play is the work of young children. Play is essential to growth, for through play the child develops security, resourcefulness, imagination, initiative, social awareness, cultural heritage, physical well-being. Therefore the curriculum of our pre-primary school consists of enriched play experiences in a favourable environment with wonderful resources and guided by competent teachers.

Our pre-primary school incorporates all elements necessary for a balanced programme – active and quiet periods, social and individual activities, opportunities for both creativity and conformity, consistency in the programme pattern, yet flexibility in the daily activities, organization to prevent confusion, consideration of age-groups and the needs of the individual child and provision of a variety of wonderful grown and learning experiences.

We aim for them to appreciate the richness of their own and each other’s cultures, to understand the importance of physical activity to health, and to become competent and social beings who have sound, secure and healthy self-concepts to help them face the challenges that await them in their lives.
